2016 Highlights

  • The BC Emergency Health Services Infant Transport Team, one of the world’s premier paramedic-based critical care teams, marked 40 years of service in 2016. Based at BC Children’s Hospital, the team is part of the BCEHS Critical Care Program and collaborates with the medical staff at both BC Women’s and BC Children’s hospitals.

  • Team Canada BC won the silver medal at the 2016 Rallye Rejviz Medical Rescue Competition in the Czech Republic. The team comprised four team members: critical care paramedics Rico Ruffy, Adam Greene and Darrel Hunsbedt, and Richmond ambulance station unit chief Alex Mattes; and their manager Clarke McGuire.
