Health care resources for staff and families

Employee and Family Assistance Program

Homewood Health is the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provider for all of PHSA. 

Homewood's employee services are free to access for all PHSA staff (full-time, part-time or casual) and dependent family members. All their services are completely confidential, complying with federal privacy legislation. PHSA does not receive any identifiable data about counselling visits, Plan Smart services, or online resources; only aggregate data on overall usage of the program is reported back to PHSA.

BC first responders' mental health

This site promotes positive mental health and provides the leadership best practices that first responders, their communities and leaders need. This includes resources, awareness, education, training and supports.

CUPE benevolent fund

CUPE, the union which represents paramedics, dispatchers and call-takers through local 873, has set up a benevolent fund for CUPE members and their families who are experiencing hardship due to the wildfires. For more information, contact CUPE 873.
