On August 13, Vancouver Island saw the arrival of 492 Sri Lanka migrants aboard the MV Sun. This event necessitated the largest response by federal and provincial agencies in recent memory.
BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) was proud to have been a part of this event and would like to thank all our partner agencies for helping support this unprecedented event in Canada. The BCAS Vancouver Island Region will now conduct its own review to prepare for future events and will be providing their input into other reviews.
