It is with great sadness that BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) mourns the loss of Tofino paramedic Ivan Polivka and Unit Chief Jo-Ann Fuller, who tragically lost their lives in the Line of Duty on October 19, 2010. The veteran paramedics were returning from a call in Port Alberni when they were involved in a fatal, single-vehicle accident.
A memorial service Ivan and Jo-Ann is scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2010 a 1300 Hours (PDT) at Wickaninnish Community School (431 Gibson Street, Tofino, B.C.)
