The BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) presented a Vancouver man with a Vital Link Award to recognize his lifesaving actions during a medical emergency.
“We know that even with the best technology and timely deployment of paramedics, the quick assistance by a bystander to call 911 and perform CPR still provides a patient with the best chance of survival,” said BCAS Superintendent Don McPherson. “The lifesaving actions of Marc Alfonso played a key role in this positive patient outcome.”
