Critical Care Paramedics (CCPs) must have the following licenses and certificates prior to being eligible for hire with BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS):
- A valid Critical Care Paramedic license issued through the Emergency Medical Licensing Board
- Class 4 BC driver's license (or out of province equivalent), or the ability to obtain within 6 months from your start date.
- 19 years of age or older
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada
- You are available to work a variety of shifts as required
- You are medically fit and have the ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- You have previous work experience with high acuity calls in a high call volume area
- You have the proven ability to lead others
- You are considered a team player by other health care professionals
