In-person hiring events

Spring into Success Career Fair​

When: April 8-10 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: The Gathering Place (675 BC-16, Burns Lake, BC)

Join BCEHS to learn more about meaningful career opportunities as a paramedic, dispatcher, or in leadership roles supporting emergency health services across British Columbia. Our team will be on site from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day to answer questions, share experiences, and highlight the many pathways available within BCEHS. Whether you're starting your career or looking for your next step, we invite you to come meet us and explore how you can make a difference. ​

Dease Lake Community Career Fair

When: April 11 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Dease Lake School, 154 Dease Lake Access Rd, Dease Lake​

Join BCEHS to learn more about meaningful career opportunities as a paramedic, dispatcher, or in leadership roles supporting emergency health services across British Columbia. 

Open House + Coffee with a Paramedic

When: April 12 | 12 – 4 p.m.

Where: BCEHS Station 757, 7171 Hwy 37, Dease Lake​

Local paramedics and our Talent Acquisition team will be there to answer your questions about becoming a ppart of BCEHS and current role availabilities. ​

WorkBC Job Fair​

When: Tuesday, April 12 | 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Where: Seniors Centre (1401 9 St S, Golden, BC)​​

Local paramedics and our Talent Acquisition team will be there to answer your questions about becoming a paramedic or emergency medical dispatcher, what the hiring process looks like, and what it’s like to be part of BCEHS.​​​

Dawson Creek Trade Show

When:

Friday, April 17 | 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 18 | 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Sunday, April 19 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.​​

Where: Ovintiv Events Centre (#1-300 Highway 2, Dawson Creek, BC)​

Visit us to discuss employment options across BC, including full time, part time, and on call opportunities, and to answer questions about training, career progression, and working in rural and urban communities.​​

Vanderhoof Arena Open House

When: Tuesday, April 21 | 12 – 4 p.m.

Where: Vanderhoof Arena - 340 Columbia Street, Vanderhoof​​​

Local paramedics and our Talent Acquisition team will be there to answer your questions about becoming a paramedic or emergency medical dispatcher, what the hiring process looks like, and what it’s like to be part of BCEHS.​

2026 Regional Career Expo & Forum

When: May 8, 2026 | 10 a.m. –​ 6 p.m.
Where: Terrace Sportsplex main arena (3320 Kalum St. Terrace, BC)​

Our team will be available to answer questions, share firsthand insights, and discuss career paths, training, and opportunities with BCEHS. This free, in-person event brings together employers and community partners to support workforce development across Northwest BC.​

Come on by to one or more of our open houses/hiring events listed above! No appointment is needed – this is an opportunity to meet with our team who will share their experiences working at BCEHS and guide you through the hiring process. BCEHS careers include Emergency Call Takers, Emergency Medical Dispatchers, Primary Care Paramedics, and more. Ask your questions and get all the answers from our dedicated staff.

Open houses: Qualified individuals will be screened for available positions, with on-site interviews available for successful candidates. Prior to attending, please complete an application for employment, a criminal record check, and an ICBC driver's abstract. Please bring BC driver's licence, EMALB licence, government-issued ID, and if applicable, work permit (and the forms to be completed ahead of time).
