Education & Training

BC Emergency Health Services staff are encouraged to participate in professional development and community service.

Once an employee of the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), you will be offered a wide range of training and continuing education opportunities including:

  • Interactive face-to-face courses delivered throughout the province
  • Professional development events and online training courses through the BCAS Learning Centre
In addition, staff may have opportunities to participate in great events such as Paramedic Games and Education Symposium. This event is an annual teambuilding weekend that sees paramedics from across the province come together to exchange ideas, attend workshop sessions and engage in mock-incident scenarios with their colleagues. These competitions provide BCAS paramedics with an opportunity to bond with their colleagues, as well as share best practices so that in the event of true emergencies they are ready and able to provide the best care possible to their patients.
