Infant Transport Team Qualifications

Licenses and certificates

Critical Care Paramedics (CCPs) must have the following licenses and certificates prior to being eligible for hire with BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS):


  • A valid Critical Care Paramedic license issued through the Emergency Medical Licensing Board
  • Class 4 BC driver's license (or out of province equivalent), or the ability to obtain within 6 months from your start date.
  • 19 years of age or older
  • You are legally entitled to work in Canada
  • You are available to work a variety of shifts as required
  • You are medically fit and have the ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
  • You have previous work experience with high acuity calls in a high call volume area
  • You have the proven ability to lead others
  • You are considered a team player by other health care professionals
