The BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) Communications Department is the first point of contact for public comment and may also provide the media with information regarding BCEHS response to significant events occurring anywhere in British Columbia.
In accordance with the provincial Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Communications Department is limited in the amount of information it can provide to media. Specifically, details that could identify a patient or the circumstances that led to their injury cannot be released by BCEHS.
While protecting the privacy of the patients entrusted in our care is our first priority, the Communications Department will do its best to facilitate all media requests. Contacting the Communications Department directly will ensure that your query is addressed by an appropriate BCEHS representative in a timely manner.
Media are also invited to contact the Communications Department for high-resolution copies of any of the images displayed in our
