To work as an advanced care paramedics (ACP) with BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), you must meet the following requirements:
Hold a valid advanced care paramedic licence from the Emergency Medical Licensing Board
Have a class 1, 2 or 4 BC driver's licence (or and equivalent from another province), or be able to get one within 6 months of your start date
Be at least 19 years old
Be legally allowed to work in Canada
Be available to work a variety of shifts, as needed
Be medically fit and able to pass a criminal record check
Have experience responding to high-acuity calls in a high-volume area
Show strong leadership skills
Work well with others and be recognized as a team player by other health care professionals
