BCEHS is the lead Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency in British Columbia, the largest EMS provider in Canada, and one of the largest in North America. We respond to over 500,000 ground events and 7,800 air events every year.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is an entry-level position ideal for people who live and work in a rural or remote area and have a desire to make a difference in their community. As an Emergency Medical Call Taker (EMCT), you receive inbound 9-1-1 calls, gather critical information from the caller and use approved protocols and systems to assess the patients while calling upon dispatch to send the appropriate resource.
