Call Volumes in BC Communities

BC Emergency Health Services tracks every medical emergency event created through its Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS). We refer to these events as call volumes.

​A single emergency event may generate more than one 9-1-1 call. Call volumes reflect the demand for pre-hospital emergency medical services in British Columbia.
