Community Paramedic

Join BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) as a community paramedic and become part of a skilled team that helps save lives.
As a community paramedic, you provide primary and urgent care  to suppoer health care delivery across BC. You take initiative and work closely with patients to meet their health needs. This includes offering health advice and patient-focused education.

This role is a good fit if you want to build a career in emergency medical services while working in your community. You will take part in both emergency response and proactive health programs that focus on prevention and community care. This career can also lead to opportunities across the province.

Community paramedics have the skills and training to respond to life-threatening situations and provide emergency care outside the hospital. They also work with local health care teams to support patients and improve care. In community settings, they use their knowledge to identify and respond to local health needs.
